Siu Kuat (behind Istana Hotel)

Ah Yong Jie's Stall...nothing more than an ordinary road side stall. Although it's outdoor, you won't sweat because it's under a tree.

Teng teng teng teng...the signature dish...Siu Kuat (roasted pork ribs). This is how it looks like before chopping.

Served with the special honey sauce, siu kuat is simply irresistable. The taste stays in your mouth for hours! Watch your saliva! haha....

Definitely one of the best char siew in town. Tender meat, superb taste!

What is so special about this vege? No la...the Fan Shu Yip (sweet potato leaves) just taste good...and it's in our must-order list!

How to get there?
From Jln Sultan Ismail, turn left at Hotel Istana. Take first left turn right after the hotel, go straight, take 3rd turning to your left. Ah Yong Jie Siu Kuat's stall is just at the end of the road on your left.

The stall opens Mon-Sat for lunch. Closed every 1st Sat of the month.
Contact no: Yong Je (sister Yong) @ 012 - 358 0075

Food: MUST TRY! Especially if you're working in KL.
Ambience: It's shaded, not hot.
Price: Very reasonable

Gillian,
I have just eaten but after looking at the char siew I am hungry again. Looks great - can you send some over.
Next time I come to KL you will have to take me to this place.
