Seong Kee @ PJ Old Town

DSC00858 This Seong Kee Stall is a family-run business at the food court next to PJ Old Town wet market.

Came to try the food after watching recommendation on TV.
The menu is clearly printed at the stall.

Yong Tow Fu is their specialty, as well as the Hakka Da Pu Abacus. A Hakka dish made from yam. Takes a lot of effort to make this dish therefore it's not easy to find elsewhere.

Abacus is RM15 each. Again...it takes a lot of effort to make.

Vinegar Pork Leg...not bad. I've tasted better.

The Curry Fish Head...the asam type. Taste like home cook....no ummph! effect. Won't order this again the next time.

Beef Noodle @ Signature Suria KLCC

It's not often we find good food at food court, especially in shopping complex. This is why I must recommend this stall at Signature Food Court, 2th Floor Suria KLCC.

P1030740 Taiwan House stall is right next to Chicken Rice.

It's not often for you to see a long queue because the price is a little expensive for a food court meal.

I worked in KLCC. My colleagues and I visit this stall at least once every 2 weeks.

The stall has a wide variety of rice & noodles but there is just one noodle I always order...

P1030741

The Beef Noodle Soup or Beef Ball Noodle Soup

P1030742

Add the salted vege & a bit of the chili (WARNING: It's freaking hot even for a person who chew chilli padi like me!!!!) ....perfect!

P1030745 P1030746

It's RM9.50 per bowl but the portion is huge. Do try it out if you happen to be at Suria KLCC.

Shuraku @ Solaris

Got to know Shuraku, a fusion Japanese restaurant through a friend. The place is one of its kind. Cozy ambience & deco, friendly service, good food.

DSC00362

If it's your first visit, you can do like what we did, tell the boss, Edwin to design a course meal for you. You'll get to experience the anticipation of not knowing what you'll be eating...don't know what to expect...every dish is a surprise!

Please bare with me for not knowing the name of the dishes.

1st dish: Appetizer (salad with minced beef)

DSC00368

2nd dish: Grilled Squid served with fish egg mayonese sauce

DSC00375

3rd dish: Vege, mushroom, gyoza (dumplings) soup

DSC00376

4th dish: Unagi Tofu (best dish of the night!)

DSC00378

5th dish: Fried soft bones

DSC00380

6th dish: Grilled Scallop

DSC00381

7th dish: Negi Cha Siew (pork with fats)

DSC00384

8th dish: Green Tea ice-cream with red bean

DSC00387

Cold Sake!

All the above for less than RM200 (inclusive of tax) for 2 persons. It's up to you to judge if it's worth the money. As for me, money well spent for the total package. it's the experience that counts.

Note: Shuraku is a small restaurant which can fit only 35-45 customers. It's best to make a reservation @ 03-6203 0561 to avoid disappointment.

How to get there?
Shuraku is at Solaria Mont Kiara, above Maybank.
Food: Unique, original.
Ambience: Cozy yet authentic. You'll feel like dining in restaurants at Japan.
Price: Same as proper Japanese restaurant.
Recommended by: My friend.
